Monday Spinning Class
Monday morning’s are hard. It’s hard to wake up. It’s hard to go to work. It’s hard to leave work. Well ok, not that hard. Monday is a spinning day. Morning or night it’s one of the days that I go to a spinning class.
The morning class is taught by Mary. She’s a hard one in general but especially on Monday mornings. Mike is the Monday evening teacher. He’s a good hard teacher. He’s a stand in from Sawmill Athletic club while they remodel it.
Either way it’s a way to get my heart rate and exertion rate up to the point of wanting to quit. There are a lot of hills, intervals, and sprints. Oh and more sweat than I can imagine.
Yesterday was no different. It killed me. But I’ve started to notice a dramatic change in some areas. First my running is stronger. Significantly stronger. I’m running longer distances faster than before with less exertion. After the spinning class my recovery is measured in minutes. Last night I rode to almost puking but about 15 minutes afterwards I could have gone again. Today is a running and swimming day. I was suppposed to run this morning and swim tonight but it looks like I’ll be doing both. Then I have spinning again in the morning.
It’s definitely better. Now I need some cycle shoes…….
